Continuing to run rings around the tired and frail Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump laid out more “specifics” today that his critics are always crowing about. This time it was regarding the military and veterans.

Here is the video (SKIP TO 47 MIN FOR RETIRED GENERAL MIKE FLYNN’S INTRO; SKIP TO 54 MIN IN FOR TRUMP)

If you are interested in a transcript with photos, The Conservative Treehouse has got you covered.

To give you a taste, here is some of the level-headed proposals he is looking for.

Immediately after taking office, I will ask my generals to present to me a plan within 30 days to defeat and destroy ISIS.

This will require military warfare, but also cyber warfare, financial warfare, and ideological warfare – as I laid out in my speech on defeating Radical Islamic terrorism several weeks ago.

Instead of an apology tour, I will proudly promote our system of government and our way of life as the best in the world – just like we did in our campaign against communism during the Cold War.

Amen to that! Most of us are sick and tired of apology tours as that has won us nothing more than blood in the streets.

At the same time, immigration security is a vital part of our national security.

We only want to admit people to our country who will support our values and love our people.

As I have mentioned on the blog before, if anyone in the LDS community thinks that Trump’s proposals are in any way similar to the Missouri mob treatment of the 1830s, you really need to study what Trump says without the media filter. It makes complete sense to vet entries into your nation. The melting pot effect cannot work just because you wish it to. It requires good candidate immigrants in the first place.

Additionally, I will be respectfully asking countries such as Germany, Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia to pay more for the tremendous security we provide them.

It baffles me when I hear a neo-con or a leftist take issue with this idea that other countries need to pick up the slack when it comes to military costs (as they promised to do when signing agreements in the first place). That’s a big reason why our military budgets have been so enormous – they serve as the budgets for everyone else on the planet. That never should have been allowed to happen in the first place and we were stupid to be duped into covering it.

I’ll refrain from further commentary at the moment but I have to say, all of this movement away from the failed Clinton/Bush doctrines is incredibly refreshing.
