One thing I have noticed about the opposition from the “conservative” right to Donald Trump, particularly from prominent Mormons like Glenn Beck, is that they never sought to focus on the good that he’s done. It’s just been the constant personal attack that he’s the 21st Century Hitler or worse. That’s all absurd hyperbole meant to drive people to fear. As the old saying goes, follow the money and you’ll usually find out why media organs take the stances they do. So much for their rockbed “conservative” principles when the right donor check comes along, right?

I don’t know how many LDS members got a chance to see this during the Republican convention in July but if you missed it, it is worth a watch. It’s only about 8 minutes long but shows what good he did for New York and more but in a compact manner. As I recall, good deeds was supposed to be a big reason for us to full-throatedly support Mitt Romney despite many of his faults and left-leaning positions. I’ll just throw out once again that no one is the “perfect” person for being President of our Nation but in 2016, Trump is definitely the best man for the job:

As an outsider non-politician and successful businessman, isn’t it time we had someone that wasn’t a lawyer or lifelong political hack for the top job of the country?
